Welcome to my gallery of handmade necklaces. The main "building block" of these necklaces is the seed of the Honey Locust tree - great name eh? If you have ever seen long flat seed pods below a tree you may have been looking at a honey locust tree and not even been aware of it. Inside those pods lie the small coffee bean like seeds that I hand drill and string up to make my necklaces.
The beauty of the honey locust seed it that it begins as a light coffee brown, but after expose to the oils in the wearer's skin it turns a beautiful glossy dark brown.
I then use natural stone beads to compliment the dark richness of the honey locust seed. The final product is what you see here. If you'd like a handmade original necklace please contact me.
